I am trying to finish up school so I can get my high school diploma, I moved to California and tried to register myself to a school in San Diego County and I gave them everything they need (shot records, birth certificate) and they told me I have no record of getting chicken pox shots.....I contacted my parents and my parents thought I got the shot, the doctor is the one who faxed everything to the school. I told them I am pregnant and I do not want to get anymore shots because I don't want it to effect the baby. They told me it's by law that I have to get the shots to have the other students safe. I had the chicken pox a long time ago, my parents said I got the shot, I am a US citizen, I am just trying to finish school and they are making it so hard for me....can they do this?

How can I teach my elementary school aged children from my home?

I am living in a foreign country and my oldest has just started grade one this year. He is learning the culture and language of this country as well as social skills he needs, but he's getting no idea of his own parents culture. I'm looking for a website that has some info on how to teach elementary English, western culture and the like. Also, some ideas for a model curriculum for elementary school students (Ex. what he should know by grade 2 etc.) or sites/books I get access would be greatly appreciated.

How to test live wire without a tester?

Trying to install a ceiling fan, I have done electrical work before and done quite a few fixtures. The fan isn't working, I want to make sure the wires are live, I don't have a tester. Is there a way to test without using your bare hands and shocking yourself?

What would you say girls??.....does she like me or not?

were both 17. this girl has pillow fights with me, puts her photo into my phone as wallpaper, calls up my friends, even parents for jokes, even though i dont find it amusing, always laughs at my jokes, she gets very close to me, and wont move away.....and likes to touch me alot, and play with things i have. i get mixed signals though, as sometimes during the day she wont talk to me at all, cause she studies, but when were together she cant stop talking, and offering me food, and drinks, and going out places.One thing she does alot is curls up and goes to sleep for like a minute,and then wakes up, and does it again......whats all this mean???she also tells me about times when shes stressed at school and so forth....one thing thats really wierd though, she likes to know what her name is on my phone when it rings???.........need help, im from canada btw guys. I like this girl heaps, and need her to know that, cause im really scared of losing her to someone else. How can i show her???

Is it worth it to stay?

My boyfriend and I are in a tough time in our life...Neither of us have a car and it is very hard to see each other...I am trying to save to get me a car...and he wants to help me save to get a car...but my folks think that I should be with someone that has a car...but I really care for my boyfriend...and he seems to care for me...Do people go through this kind of stuff...and is it worth it to stay?

anyone live in an old house?

I am currently renting a basement since I am in college. its not THAT old of a house, but its not new neither..and the bedroom is right next to...some sort of closet type room, that i'm guessing is used for the heating system cause I see metal boxes and pipes.

anyway, from time to time I hear this "whump" sound that freaks me out big time, I always get the impression that the pipes are about to explode or someting. what I want to know is, is it going to explode?

My best friend stopped talking to me completely as soon as i got her a job at my place. Did i do wrong?

She's just avoiding me. I am affraid of approaching thinking she'd just ignore me. I dont want to look stupid. We work at the same place for heaven sake, she's not once made an effort to come see me. I've tried. What the hell did i do so wrong? i am feeling that i really shouldn;t have bothered getting her this job at all at the first place. I wasted my time.
