I am American but have a knack for languages (at least the Romance languages) and have become very proficient (although not native) in Spanish. my best friend got into a relationship with this guy who i know all he wanted was sex and i tried telling her that but she snapped at me...so no she gave it up to him....and theyve only been goin out for two months...she only gave to him once and now he has been treating her like crap and finally tonight he broke up with her and she is devastated and crying...i have no idea wut to say to her..i need some answers fast...she can barely talk she's crying so much and she even mentioned wanting to die and go away...she says that she just wanted a guy in her life to love her since her father couldnt and she got me all teary eyed for her help me out!!

I have a 85 chevy c10 truck and want to add a cd player to it but i dont want to cut out the dash where the original stereo goes. Is there a way I can add the cd player to the truck without cutting up anything? I was thinking a bracket something like a cb radio or something....... Any ideas would be appreciated.... Thanks

I have a one year old ragdoll neutered male who suddenly got interested in the outside world and gives me a hard time everytime a door opens. He keeps waiting by the doors whenever someone tries to get in or get out and once the door is open he runs outisde and wouldn't come back in. I tried spraying him with water and he wouldn't stop doing it. What can i do to stop him from going outside?

Why do they both think they have the universe all figured out?. Isnt it best to keep an open mind. I dont think anyone knows real truth. I kno there is meaning tho...I have felt it thru entheogens and meditation. Alot of people only think of god as in Abrahamic religions. I see the concept of 'god' very abstract. I dont see god as a creator or anything. I might start listening to science when it explains why the universe one day...somehow....just deciced to appear from 'nothingness. So isnt time to realize that neither of you have truth...so you can stop fighting?

I am a reading/writing tutor for a 9-year old girl. She is a couple of years behind her grade level, reading in a jerky, somewhat uncoordinated fashion. She tends to guess at words she doesn't know without taking the time to sound them out or consider whether the word she chooses even makes sense in that context. I must confess, I worry how much of the meaning behind the words she actually absorbs. I do checks for understanding from time to time, and she understands what happens in each sentence, but sometimes has difficulty keeping track of the bigger picture (i.e. what's happening in the story).

Additionally, she resists reading and dislikes it because it's difficult for her. We have a deal where she reads every other sentence and agrees to follow along when I read. But she rarely does and quibbles over the length of the sentences ("Why do you get all the short ones?"). How can I help her understand that the length of the sentences is not important and help her see why reading is?
