no, that is only a 5 year dif. My husband has friends that are 10 years older. At 17, the guys could have a lot in common with a 21 yr old. You should look at the maturity level in those involved.

No unless there is some other reason than friendship and the 17 year old could press charges on the 19 year old i dont know the laws in your state if the 17 year old is not considered an adult could this cause a problem if there was a romantic relationship being just friends is fine
