I'm 25 yrs old and married. I worked since leaving school and only just quit to spend time with my children (having missed the 1st few years of my oldest son's life due to working).

When I get on busses etc people titter and give me filthy looks. It's not paranoia. My mother was on the bus with me one day and an old lady was giving me really dirty looks. Out of interest I dropped into the conversation my age and wedding anniversary. The old lady immediately stopped glaring at me and smiled!

I get this reaction all the time, just because I only look about 19.

Sorry, it's more of a rant that a question.

To determine whether of not they have a certain disease, 100 people are to have their blood tested. However, rather than testing each individual separately, it has been decided first to group the people in groups of 10. The blood samples of the 10 people in each group will be pooled and analyzed together. If the test is negative, one test will be suffice for the 10 people: whereas, if the test is positive each of the 10 people will also be individually tested and, in all, 11 tests will be made on this group. Assume the probability that a person has the disease is 0.1 for all people, compute the expected number of tests necessary for each group.

This is NOT about who's faith/religion is "better", but a question about how people might put whatever faith they have to practical application in the world.

Please read all the details.

In an attempt to debate, yesterday, with someone about religious beliefs I was asked two very odd questions - and I would like to hear other people's thoughts.

(I say attempting: it became a pointless task as he is a very ignorant and bigoted man, who descended rapidly into patronising abuse)

When I told this man (a man who claimed strong faith) that I had spent Sunday working as a volunteer at an orphanage, he asked the two following questions:

1) "And that gets you?"
2) "If you are not ashamed of anything you do, why do you find it necessary to volunteer at an orphanage?"

MY QUESTIONS:

1) Can most people do "good deeds" out of simple kindness?

Or 2) do some (many?) people consciously think about, and expect, "reward" for helping others? (what about fear or guilt?)
.

I was just wondering, sometimes it does seem difficult to distinguish certain features on a person's face, but is it "face blindness" or just poor vision? I'm wondering, is it something that changes with your vision, or is it like a veil that your mind applies to a face, it's constantly that quality?

Well i have searched countless times over the internet and the brand is supposedly east asian calligraphy or a cinese symbol meaning "gold". I can provide a picture but any information regarding it could help me. The reason i want to find out about the brand is so i can see maybe where she came from or who bred her, if she raced, etc. Please any help is appreciated no info. will go unnoticed! :D

I've been using Dial Antibacterial soap (my regular soap) during my whole pregnancy. Just wondering what kind of soap you all used. Did you all just keep using your regular soap or did you all feel the need to switch during pregnancy?

I've been hearing rumors that Anna Nicole and her son, Daniel have been having an affair. He couldn't deal with having sired a child with his mother and commited suicide. Now Anna Nicole been very depressed over the truth coming out. So she decided to end her life?

Or is it possible that Anna Nicole was addicted to drugs. A habit she passed on to her son. That their deaths were evitable. That E channel is to blame as they saw the mess that was Anna Nicole life but were more interested in cheap entainment than quality entertainment journalism. Do you think that when we the public see a celebrity in dire need of help. That we should speak up. thru emails, letters and phone calls to the networks to help the star and not just film them.

Which do you think is the truth?
