it seems to me that by our elected officails using the news media to air their opinions on the war. they are just giving the insergency hope to hang in there and fight. because given our history in situations like this. we get involved in other country's busssiness then our polical machine cranks up and we end up not accomplishing anything. kinda like the school yard bully when things don't go how the politicians expected we just take our toys and go home. i'm not saying it's bad to have different opinions , i'm saying that airing those differences on international news media is bad. such dealings should be conducted in closed sessions with a no talk gag order hanging over the participants.
because all we are doing now is telling alqueda and the insurgency that the heart of our nation is not commited to doing anything to end terrorism now or ever. we are kinda like an ineffective parent when the terrorist's do something we are quick to slap their hands but not to escalate the cure .
