I told a girl friend of many years that I needed to talk to her. She talked to me, and I told her I liked her a whole lot, but I thought we should remains friends. I think we have two distinct directions in life. She agreed and remained friends, but she now has no problem talking to me about the deepest subjects such as marriage and life goals. I often tell her the deepest desires and longings of my heart thinking we are friends; I have even told her everything down to how I feel about her. Basically, she knows everything about me, and she now acts close to me, wants to dance with me, plays footsie with me, and discusses deep topics she would discuss with no one else. Did I make a mistake here? Was I too open?
