I had to do an experiment, but since my flashlight broke I can;t. :(

Anyway, which 'star' would be brighter- the larger one (the full flashlight beam) or the smaller star (the flashlight beam through a hole in the aluminum foil)?

In the experiment, we were to find the boiling point using an one open ended microbell capillary tube attached to a thermometer which was put open end down in a melting point capillary tube. A liquid was placed in the melting point capillary tube. The melting point apparatus was heated, and the melting point was when the stream of bubbles ceased and when the liquid begins to rise in the bell.

Q1: When the stream of bubbles in the capillary tube stops, we define this as the boiling point. Explain why this is and what is happening on the molecular level.

Q2: Why does the alcohol rise into the capillary tube? Explain what is happening on the molecular level?

I've known my boyfriend for close to 3 yrs now. We've been living together since early Feb 2005. We love each other very much and we've even planned to migrate to another country together. The problem is, he has said it once to many times that he does not want to get married and he hates children. I dont know if I care so much about being married or having kids now but I'm afraid that I may want to have a family later in life. I am making chili cheese fries for 20 people but with their appetites it is more like 27 people. I am planning this for my sons 2nd birthday party as the meal. My friend has been talking to this one person for atleast a year fromt he Philippines and plans on flying over there and marrying her and staying there? I have a small problem with my heart, sometimes i have a slight heart attack. It lasts about haft or one minute. I have a breathing difficulty, just a little bit. In most cases, I wasn't working hard or having strong emotion and never lost consciousness. None of my parents or relatives has heart disease.Two months ago, I made an electrocardiogram for thyroid operation but the diogram said everything is normal.

So what should I do now? am I sick seriously or not? is there any posibility that's a symptom of heart disease? Many thanks

It really bothers me that there are people working hard out there to make the world a happy place to live in, while emos spend there sad lives cutting themselves and promoting hate. Is this a mean assumption? I also think emos are scary.

kept on the computer, finally went to bed and about 1.30am heard a car start up so i looked out the window and noticed a big white van reversed in my drive way, i rang my husband in America, (im in Australia) he told me to ring the police, i finally did after i couldn't stop my body from shaking, I felt totally embarrassed, i didn't want to be a bother to them, the police were great, they checked around the house and the guy had broken into my back shed but it was empty, My question is should i have felt embarrassed?

I just had the most STRANGEST experience.

I was at a basketball game with a couple buddies. as we were walking around the arena, I started feeling a little weird.. my hands started tingling, and I couldn't walk straight (I drank a little too).

Then all of a sudden I just lost all touch with reality. I don't know if any of you have heard of an out-of-body experience, but thats EXACTLY what I was experiencing for 3 hours straight. It was like I was watching myself act, but it wasn't ME in my body. I had rational thoughts in MY mind, but couldn't express them to others. I didn't know if I was dying or going crazy. I would also keep rubbing my hands to make sure I wasn't dreaming. It was like there was a wall blocking my rational thoughts and my actual body to express them.

The worst part about it is that it ruined my ENTIRE night, because for 3 hours I was just trying to fight it. My body was trying to enjoy the game, but my mind was fighting to get back to normal.
