I just had the most STRANGEST experience.

I was at a basketball game with a couple buddies. as we were walking around the arena, I started feeling a little weird.. my hands started tingling, and I couldn't walk straight (I drank a little too).

Then all of a sudden I just lost all touch with reality. I don't know if any of you have heard of an out-of-body experience, but thats EXACTLY what I was experiencing for 3 hours straight. It was like I was watching myself act, but it wasn't ME in my body. I had rational thoughts in MY mind, but couldn't express them to others. I didn't know if I was dying or going crazy. I would also keep rubbing my hands to make sure I wasn't dreaming. It was like there was a wall blocking my rational thoughts and my actual body to express them.

The worst part about it is that it ruined my ENTIRE night, because for 3 hours I was just trying to fight it. My body was trying to enjoy the game, but my mind was fighting to get back to normal.

My question is, have any of you ever experienced anything like this, and is it normal that it lasted for 3 hours? Like I said, I was drinking and smoking a little bit before the game, but not a lot. This type of thing has NEVER happened to me, and it was without a doubt the scariest and worst feeling I've ever felt. I'm 21 years of age, and I don't have any type of anxiety in my family or anything.
Thank you for reading.

I used to smoke marijuana alot and had a couple experiences like this. Is that what you were smoking. And if you're at a basketball game are you an adult or still in school?? Get off the drugs and it wont happen again.

Know exactly what you are talking about, and you described it well!
Smoking weed can bring one on in some people, so those days need to be over.
Also, try to relax your body as much as possible when it happens because tension and scary thoughts, (e.g. Anything that starts with OMG or What if...), add adrenaline which is what feeds the fear response.
Try to float through the experience; slouch on your chair relaxed as can be while telling yourself in your head "I'm okay. I'm safe. I can leave any time I want, if I really need to. It's just anxiety and it always passes. There is a limit to what anxiety can do. I will not die or go crazy."
Get a book or two about it and talk to your doctor if it becomes a problem. Lots of people only have this once or twice in their lives in times of stress and it passes if they don't add a bunch of fear to it.

Yeah i agree on here with the other answers. Smoking Marijuana can trigger these kinds of attacks.. Core reason is that marijuana is a plant. Most common over the counter drugs used we still use daily for medicinal purposes all derived from plants. Marijuana in a broader sense can be considered to fit in that equation as well. So since you are not a professional doctor. May want to do yourself the favor by lessening the dosage. Alot. Listen to your body and in a real sense, don't give in to peer pressure by taking more than your body can handle. It's your mind and body. Use it wisely..

Besides cutting the drugs, if any, get to a doctor and get yourself checked out. Be sure to have the doctor check for chemical imbalances in the brain, etc.

Fortunately it lasted for three hours. Youv'e come back from far. It's time to reform. And this will be in your interest. Your body has it's own inbuilt defence let it work.

Hi

I need some more details. I would like to answer and to help you. What were you smoking/drinking? I have studied medicine, sometimes a mixture of A+B=... An OBE is possible, but unlikely in this situation. Can you please explain more?
