Why do people only want a quick fix for the symptom? WHY NOT solve the PROBLEM?

A dog in pain has bigger problems then the pain it feels...why don't people want to know what's causing the pain or bleeding or whatever the symptom is?

i have a company party next week, and the dress is cocktail attire. i'm guessing i need to wear a suit for this. does a brown dress shirt go well w/ a black suit (no tie)? i have other color dress shirts, but my nicest shirt is a brown striped (shadow stripes) dress shirt.. would that go well w/ a black suit?

Why do they teach black history in every grade? I have 3 children and they teach the same black history in each grade, it never varies, you hear the same thing. If they are going to teach black history why don't they just remake our history books and include African Americans in the book instead of repeating the same things all the way through school? I'm not against them teaching it, i just don't understand why they can't just include it in normal teaching and make it a different issue per grade.

I ask because it seems as small as the world has become,
the internet shows there are still a lot of negative stereo types

My dad just told me that he won't be able to pay much for my wedding...which is still over a year away. Money that I bring in goes to all by bills from school and my fiance is finishing is last semester. We are already putting off our wedding for a year and half...But what do I do? How can I pay for my dream wedding? Is it possible to have a beautiful wedding and reception with just a few thousand dollars?? I'm totoally bummed out.....:(

My battery has been lasting w/o the cord for about 20 minutes and about 5 when playing a movie.

Now it won't even stay on when unplugged like it's not a laptop anymore, just a desk computer.

Could it be loose? Can I charge this battery like a car battery? Any suggestions?

We've been married for almost 5 years. During that time she's found every excuse not to have sex, she has never been interested in doing things together, she has kept all her finances separate and secret from me, and she stopped wearing her ring for about a year. I tried planning vacations together, romantic outings, cooking her dinner every night, and so on. Finally I got so frustrated I told her I was unhappy and that I we weren't working out and it was senseless to stay together. Also, in the meantime I had met a friend that has turned into a romantic relationship.

Now my wife has suddenly turned a 360--she says she's sorry for how she treated me and wants to make things work. I still love her but I'm not in love with her anymore--I care for her and want her to be happy but I don't think we have a future together. She just cries and says she can't understand why I'm not willing to make it work. (She doesn't know about the other person)

Am I a terrible person for giving up?
