What exactly is a Ward of the State? I just found out that I am one and I don't know what that means. Do I have any rights. What does this mean if I was living with family in a house that I don't like, can I just leave? Please Help...

When I am about to go to sleep, laying in my bed, I sometimes have these sudden movements without me making them. I had many occasions where i would hit my bed as if I just fell into it or like last night where my arm just flung itself across my bed. Can anyone tell me why this is happening?

I appreciate people helping me or giving their opinions, but when it comes 2 my kids, thats where I draw the line. My mother in law babysat our kids tonight so my hubby & I could go out & have a date night 2 try & re-kindle our relationship. I laid out my 22 mo old son's dinner (hes on a certain diet because he suffers from constipation) & I showed her where my 7 mo old daughters babyfood was if she was hungry. I dont give my son too much sugar, hes ornery enough without it. I dont give my daughter any either. She told me 2 get them 2 eat, she put a lil sugar in their food. I was appalled! If they arent hungry, I dont bribe them with sugary foods. She even gave my son a sucker. Its almost bedtime & now hes bouncing off the walls! Just a tiny bit & hes wired. She claimed my daughter was cold yet she took off her socks! I had cleaned my house from top 2 bottom & she made a huge mess in the kitchen. With food all over the mopped floor. She didnt put their diapers on tight enough & they...

I am in my early twenties and I just had an idea to train and run a half-marathon that is in 56 days. I like to run, but I have not had time to run or get in shape/tone up yet. But if I start this weekend, would it be possible to be able to compete in the half-marathon and survive? Side note- I am not overweight - so I would just be working on getting back into shape and not so much losing weight. Also, I work full time - so I will have to deal with not being able to fully focus on traing 24/7. However, I would try and make it priority. Let me know if this is possible (specifically from those who have professional knowledge in this area). Thanks!

some people belive in them and others dont...but i dont think anyone can tell you your future except yourself...its all in your hands not some astrology and chinese horoscopes sayig what your future will be...your future is in YOUR hands...does anyonein hear agree with me? or can you give me a good reason to actually belive in it...because i dont and i dont think they can tell you your future...am i the only one who feels this way?¿

I moved to Texas due to my job about 7 months ago and left the love of my life behind in Ohio. We dated for 6 years, and he has made it clear that he DOES want to be with me but his job and family are in Ohio, and he can't seem to decide if he is ready to move so far away to be with me and my kids. These are the picketers at the funerals for soldiers. They are all over the country protesting at the funerals. They hold up signs saying "God Hates Fags" and "Thank God For IED's". Tell me is this a right to speak your mind or is it an infringement on the families of the fallen soldiers? They protested at two funerals of my sons unit. I think that there should be some law protecting the families of these protestors.

I want to know if there is anybody else, besides me, that wakes in the middle of the night, BUT there eyes are closed and cant move at all? This has happened to me a few times and I want to know what it is and is there a cure for this? Its like i try my best to wake up because I can hear everthing but its so hard for me to open my eyes or move until I keep trying for about 10 seconds, then I finally awake. Im I just the only one or what?

I am installing carpet in my basement on a concrete floor. My plan was to install tack strip, lay down pad upto the tack strip and then lay the carpet over that. Am I going down the right path or is there a better way to do it. I know this is how you would do it with a regular wood floor underlayment but I am unsure about concrete. Do I need to tape down the pad to the floor or can it just float under the floor? I am just wanting to confirm what to do before I go and do it. Thanks!

My very, very best friend has been dating this guy for about eight months now. I just met him this summer, because they both live several states away from me, and we're pretty much friends now. He's an absolutely wonderful guy and they're pretty much in love with each other. They're both great people. Anyway, they've been having a couple of little problems and he recently asked if we could talk sometime about stuff in general, but also about her. Not bad stuff, obviously, we both love her (in different ways), just so he can kind of try to figure her out a little more. Should I let her know that I'm talking to him about her and stuff, just to be sure it's ok? And can I tell him stuff that she told me? Not private stuff that she definitely doesn't want him to know, just a little bit of her sides of the issue? I think sometimes there's stuff you can't really work out face-to-face and it would help a little to have me as kind of a go-between on some stuff.
