Why do people only want a quick fix for the symptom? WHY NOT solve the PROBLEM?

A dog in pain has bigger problems then the pain it feels...why don't people want to know what's causing the pain or bleeding or whatever the symptom is?

Because most people in this country want a quick fix. Take diet pills, for example, to solve the immediate problem of weight while ignoring the real problem of not eating healthy and exercising. And how many people suffer through their own aches and pains and never bother to go to the doctor to figure out why they have them?

I'm not excusing the quick fixes, of course. Just saying that people aren't likely to take better care of their dogs than they do themselves.

I think some of it is money, time and the fact an animal cant complain. Many people will jump to care for a screaming animal. But, since to show pain is a sign of weakness and an animals instinct is to hide weakness of any kind, people dismiss it. As much as everyone wants to publicly shout their own praises as a dog owner, many don't have the time to care for them properly. A lot of the responders on here are kids and don't have the means. I always said if dogs could talk it would be a whole different ball game. I try to do what is best for my dogs. I have missed things in the past when all caught up in my own business, financial, kids, relationship and health problems. It can happen to everyone. I'm not making an excuse just stating facts. It's a much faster paced world, people keep trying to compete in a rat race giving desperate attempts at a "Normal Life". Hell, I've been sick for several years now, the doctors still haven't gotten all the answers. They treat the symptoms only because with all of their tests and technology they still aren't 100% sure. Good Question!! When you find the answer let me know.

Because these people are lazy.
We're living in a "quick fix" society.......why bother to get to the root of a problem??? These are the same people that truly believe that if they'll ignore it, it'll go away, and have no respect for any living being, animal or human.
Thank goodness, not everyone is like that though, there are good, caring people out there.
Education is probably the best way to go, unfortunately, the non-caring ones, don't want to learn. Animals, children, and elderly are always those who pay up, and continue to suffer.

Ignorance! People tend to think that if the physical pain is gone, then so is the problem. I think another factor is money. Your pet can't tell you about his/her ailments. The vet has to be an interpreter, so to speak, and it takes tests and money to figure it out and that cam become financially draining quite quickly.

None of us want to see our beloved fur babies in pain, but you're right. More times than not, there is a bigger problem.

Because some people just get an animal just to say they have one then when something serious happens they say oh woe is me my poor animal is sick. But then wait until it is to late to take it to the vet. Under medicate so save money on medicine and the animal dies there and they blame the Vet for it. Just so they look caring and the vet looks bad. Some people like this actually have kids. Scary

I agree. each and every now after which you spot a query like "my canines is peeing blood... what ought to I do?" oh my gosh. I completely trust basically each and every thing you mentioned, yet each and every so often i think of this is fantastic for individuals to have animals while they are in a position to't continuously pay for all therapy. I volunteer with an animal shelter and we've maximum of remarkable canines that we basically only ought to push them off on whoever all of us be attentive to will love them. of direction it could be super to get each and every canines a financially guard man or woman, yet i might fairly provide them a shot at a happy existence than have them positioned down on a chilly steel table.

I believe the issue is MONEY! I know my dad could afford to spend lots of money at the vet to deal with heart worms and other more expensive stuff, since he was retired and had extra money, but not all of us are "lucky" that way. I do know that I spend quite a sum of money each month taking care of my German Shepherd's arthritis in his hips, but it is costly, and people can't afford the cost. God Bless you.
