I have some jpgs recovered from a formatted hard drive. They are corrupt and won't open in any photo viewing utility. However, the thumbnails for them seem to display just fine. How is this possible?

sometimes when my sister and i fight and it gets a little rough my mom threatens to leave the house like she opens the door and then we run and persuade her to come back....this is the second time she has done it and the first time she promised me she would never do it again...im really confused what should i do? keep on living inthe fear that one day she will walk out on us?? I used to live with a cat and he was best friends with the cat next door. I wouldn't believe it to hear it, but they used to call on each other through the cat flaps, and you would see them playing together in the garden!!

there is a girl i know from my school days. since the day i saw her (2yrs back) i have liked her because of her innocent nature. during schooldays we didint had a talk but now sometimes we have a chat. though i really like her soo much, i dont know what she feels for me.

sometimes we have a long nice and friendly chat and sometimes she even doesnt care to reply me. we really dont know much about eachother. how can i make friendship with her ??

how would i know what she feels for me. and how can i chat more with her. i think we are friends by now but cant say why sometimes she doesnt reply me (sometimes she is too friendly)

sometimes i feel to say what i feel, but we dont know anything about eachother. we were in same school and just had a few chats. and i dont want to loose a friend by telling her so early - may be then she wont talk to me

How times have changed.

I remember when I was 13 (now in mid-30s) I was giving my Mom a difficult time. I was taking advantage of the fact that my Dad was on a business trip and my Mom had injured her wrist about a year before . I made a point of saying well there's nothing you can do about it because you can't spank me. Oh was I wrong! She drove me to the local police station and asked to have one of the police officers to have a "man to boy chat" with me. He and my mom and I went into this room. Then he yelled at me, took off my belt, pulled me over his knee like I was 5, and just blistered my butt "just like he said he would have done to his own kids" I was very very embarrassed and cried, and he told me he didn't want to see me back and I better respect my Mom from now on. I apologized to my Mom afterwards and probably had a sore bottom for at least 4 days afterwards. When my Dad got home, I got it again!

Would anyone else do this to their kids in a similar situation?

I am 34. I live with mother; I did not leave her because when father passed away I knew she needed someone...me to be there for her; so I tkko here here and there and everywhere...all this while I had a good paying job as a teacher. Today, I am broke, 6 months behind on my payments...mother can not help me anymore and about to loose my car, our ownly car. I want to move to SA Texas and get a few jobs to catch up and pay back to mother...Yes or No.
