God is renowned because of His Beattitude. Fame is fleeting and is consequent of an opinion of man.

According to St. Thomas Aquinas:
Beatitude belongs to God in a very special manner. For nothing else is understood to be meant by the term beatitude than the perfect good of an intellectual nature; which is capable of knowing that it has a sufficiency of the good which it possesses, to which it is competent that good or ill may befall, and which can control its own actions. All of these things belong in a most excellent manner to God, namely, to be perfect, and to possess intelligence. Whence beatitude belongs to God in the highest degree.

"He is in glory, Who whilst He rejoices in Himself, needs not further praise." To be in glory, however, is the same as to be blessed.[end excerpt]

I oppose the word fame with the word renoun because while the dictionary may say that both are synonomous, the word renoun means to "name." By virtue of beattitude in the Holy Spirit, one "names" the holiness and righteousness of God by an acclaim of His glory, which is not possible without the utterings of the Holy Spirit. Therefore, to give God proper acclaim, is only possible by naming this acclaim in the Spirit. Thus it is by Beatitude or blessing that we are enabled to do so. And this is not opinion, but Spirit. Thereafter, we reverb and name God Holy.

Ants aren't aware of those animals that are much bigger than them, similarly us humans are so tiny and minute that we can not comprehend God's greatness and fame. However due to His unlimited mercy He reveals Himself to us if, and only if, we develop a great desire to know Him.
