Isn't it funny how christians use Paul's words in the NT to denegrate gay people -- and they say "it must be followed to the letter" and "it's very clear what he's saying about gays, and it's God's will"...because Paul said it...
But when you point out to them that Paul also said, in 1Corinthians 14:34-35 that women are to shut up in church, because it is shameful for them to speak in church...
...suddenly, all the exclusions and interpretations come out, and all the excuses come forward for why that particular scripture cannot be taken literally...
...(the real truth being that no man wants the nightmare of trying to get all women to shut up in church, but that's a whole different topic).
I wonder at what point it is that christians finally decide they want to stop being two-faced and admit that they cherry-pick the bible -- ignoring some scriptures that they simply don't want to live by, while always picking to follow those ones that justify their hatred for others?
