I never never open attachements and I never click on links sent to me by anyone. I know it is safe practice, but I feel like I miss out on a lot of things. I consider myself an educated user. I could care less if I was hacked for someone to use my hard space as I never put personal info on my computer anyway so what you will find will be false information anyway, the only thing I ask is to never give me a virus cause I hate to lose the pictures I have in here. I am protected as best I can but I wish sometimes I could just go through life like everyone else and click here, check this out, are people out there just to destroy others are is this all propoganda?

Yes, you're probably a bit paranoid. Internet hackers, like sexual predators, West Nile virus, Mad Cow disease, E. Coli, etc., etc., are only really major threats on cable news networks. As long as the pictures you want to keep are backed up on a CD, you should have no reason to worry.

One way to allay fears about links is to look at the URL before you click. When you hover your mouse over a link, a little box should pop up telling you where it sends you. If the website, for example, is different than where the friend sending you the email says it is, then you might not want to click. Otherwise, worrying is overkill.

its just propoganda, as long as you have an antivirus and firewall your safe, and you dont do something super stupid like download an email attchent from a stranger, even if a hacker got on your computer all he would do is look for some porn then leave, why would he **** up your PC delete pictures then he cant spy on you anymore

i think of its consistent with danger the comparable man or woman who asked and responded with a diverse account, or probably acquaintances. The profiles have been created some days aside and neither continues to be partaking on YA. (0 factors this week) What makes me ask your self greater....How did you come back for the time of a 2 12 months old question like that? Did you seek for "poo"? extraordinary lol.

Back up your pictures. Then you don't have to worry about them. If you have an antivirus program running with updated virus definitions, you are more likely to lose all your pictures to a hard drive crash. They do crash, and you can lose all of your data.

Back up and be free.

Thats usually called ADWARE or MALWARE. They will keep on popping up on your screen because they will gain money through ADS. A small money will go to them when you click their advertisement. They will not put those popups without anything in return.
