Before I ask this, let me say this: I am not racist. Just asking a simple observation question. I sometimes wonder if some african american's hold themselves back in life by blaming their problems on everyone else EXCEPT themselves and complaining about the past instead of working on the present or the future. There are plenty of white, asian, mexican, etc. who are in the same situation. They never blame other races or live in the past....a past they never experienced, so why do some african americans?

how to wash your own clothes, in the machines?

Me personally, my mom wouldn't let me mess with HER machines until I moved out when I was almost 19 and my husband had to show me how, lol.
With my oldest I started letting her use them with supervision at about 15 and now she is almost 18 and does it all by herself.
My next to the oldest is almost 13 and I am wondering when to start teaching her how to do her own laundry maybe in about a year or less.

MoD have got a terrible employer record. 2 examples from a few years ago;-
Twins on a ship in Malta, father dies in Birmingham, UK. Told only one could be flown home to attend funeral, and they had to decide which. How heartless can you get?
I was on a naval shore base during the main leave period. My son was born premature; put in an incubator. He also had jaundice and breathing difficulties. The hospital asked me to attend for the last rites. I was told I couldn't be spared for the day (I went anyway, and an understanding officer didn't report the fact. The son grew into a strapping lad.)
Would you work for this employer who puts troops in Afghanistan and Iraq - yet doesn't supply them with the tools to do the job, leaving them to buy their own kit or scrounge from other nations troops?
