how to wash your own clothes, in the machines?
Me personally, my mom wouldn't let me mess with HER machines until I moved out when I was almost 19 and my husband had to show me how, lol.
With my oldest I started letting her use them with supervision at about 15 and now she is almost 18 and does it all by herself.
My next to the oldest is almost 13 and I am wondering when to start teaching her how to do her own laundry maybe in about a year or less.
Your thoughts or experiences?

maybe 16 , you should teach your kids how to wash their clothes at 15 or 16 its the most suitable age ...

I am in the same boat with you! I went off to college at age 16, but my older sister (who was there with me) did the laundry. It wasn't till after college that I ever had to do my own laundry. Thank goodness it is an easy thing to learn.

I was ahead of myself....I was working at 13 in my dad's restaurant where he was the mgr....and I was the cashier...I was good with money....I used to do laundry at that age...I really did all my laundry at 15...btw...i only worked on Sunday...but it was great experience for me....it depends alot how mature the child is

the earlier the better. my mom wouldn't let my sis work the machines coz she was so afraid she'll screw things up or get herself hurt or something....my sis ended up not knowing how to work even when she's in her 20s already.
i learned early, 15 i think, and now i'm an expert.
just make sure your kid doesn't do without supervision until she really knows how...

maybe 10... didn't really start doing my laundry all the time till about 15 though.. but i knew how at about age 10.
