The fiber content in wheat bread helps the digestive system. Fiber helps create the 'full' sensation which can help with weight control. Stay away from wheat flour which contains mainly flour and go for WHOLE WHEAT. Whole wheat has a ton more nutrients than you'll ever find in white bread.

I would take wheat bread over white for the fiber and the B12 and B Complex vitamins that come naturally in it.

100% WHOLE wheat! White bread has no grain in it - just processed flour and trans-fats (hydrogenated oils). As a kid did you ever make glue out of flour? Who would want it in their digestive track?!
An easy, healthy rule is No white-stuffs: Sugar, Rice, Bread,Salt (in moderation)

If those are the only two... wheat. I like the taste better and it's less gummy to the chew.
