I just thought of this quote and want to know if it's any good, I don't know if it's ever been said before but I just thought of it.

"If you're a self proclaimed anything, you're a self proclaimed fool"

basically meaning that anyone can say "I'm an artist" or "I'm a writer" but that doesn't make them that. Do you think it's a good quote?

why do people write like:

Im just trying to figure out why my computer wont show background pages or layouts on anything, but while trying to figure that out i decided to cleanup this laptop n wen i got to add/remove prog. there was a long list of "Hotfix KB###'s" How did they get there? what ae they for? When i try to delete them it shows me certain programs of mine may not work correctly. So what do i do? help me plz!

My boyfriend and I just called it quits for a lot of different reasons and yet I still love him in some ways. I know that right now it was not ment to be, but neither of us are handling the split well. He calls almost every hour and I end up texting him atleast 20x a day to check in. i've built a concentration sensor for a school project. i even drew a calibration curve of the voltage (on the y axis) vs the concentration of the solution (on the x axis). therefore sensitivity will be measured in Volts mol^-1 dm^3.

i've got a positive correlation between the two. however there were two times that i took the readings. the first time i calculated the sensitivity, it came out to be 3 V mol^-1 dm^3. the second time i took another reading, i got a much steeper slope with sensitivity 20 V mol^-1 dm^3.
which is more sensitive? the one with the higher value of sensivity or the one with the lower level of sensitivity? could you explain how you got to the conclusion?

It sound pretty unlawful to me but I see many people do it over the Internet. They scan books, encode songs and distribute them. Also they say "anyone who download this file must own the actual book/CD, otherwise you have to delete the file within 24 hours".

Well, those distributors are surely not copyright holders. Do they have the right to do this? Is there really this kind of law exist? (It would be great if someone could show me links to legal documents related to this.)

Hey, I have a problem.

I find it easy to talk to girls and to approach (I'm fairly confident), however after a couple of minutes when my opening conversation dies down, i am left speechless.

My problem is i don't won't to sound boring by asking her the common questions like:

"Do you come here often?"
"Where are you from?" etc..

Can someone please give me maybe some interesting topics or conversations to start when first meeting someone?
