First of all...you shouldn't limit this question to girls.
My opinion is....
The best way to relate to people fast is to ask a few questions...it could start out as one question and go from there. Such as..what are you doing this weekend, what sports or hobbies are you into, (mention a book you're reading and ask them if they've read any good books recently that they'd recommend).
Whatever....but the most important thing is to put the focus on them, make them feel that you're sincerely interested in their opinions and responses.
This never fails.

first of all people love talking about themselves so ask some questions... make a comment about how they look. like if they are sporting a band tshirt say .. oh so you are into... la la la. or if they have a purse with dogs on it or something.. oh so you like dogs... that kind of thing... the boring questions aren't necessarily bad either.. the how are you? do you come here often? its kinda like a transition sentence in a paragraph.. Those are the sentences that lead to a new topic sentence.. like do you come here often.. maybe she will reply " oh ya i com ehere after work" then you reply " oh where d oyou work" and she replies " oh i work at the blahb labh albh" and then you talk about that and strike a conversation. ask more questions and there you go. Then after that you are in the clear but its hard to strike a conversation with someone without sounding offending or comming off wrong like just saying " hey you are sexy!" girls will like that but they might not take you seirously.... So yea I would use one of the boring common questions and work it in.. you can just go straight out and be like... " so do you like dogs?" and if you ask them for a date they may not want to because you just say " hi! want to go out on a date?" sounds a little too blunt ... thats the best advice i can give you good luck!

Ask her questions about herself. Nothing too personal, just things like where she works, favorite books or movies or if she attended college. All of those have fairly easy follow up questions that should keep the flow of conversation. It also depends on where you're at. You can always ask her about her taste in music, clothes, whatever depending on where you meet her.

Those sound ok. There's nothing as common/boring as "I've seen you somewhere before" - better to say I haven't seen you here befiore or do you come here often? Then proceed to say you are a regular yourself or you were not until your cousin invited you.
Ask and show interest in her and really listen, and share something about you in-between.

Alright mate, I did this with me old girl. If I ran out of things to say......I would ask her if she was always this quiet, but that isn't allways the best thing to say......so What I recommend is, ask her how her day was, what she did, if anything special happened, if she plays sport, what is it, does she like music. But make sure it fits in. Don't randomly ask her what her dogs name is when she's telling you about her day.........
Another thing is is that you could write things down when you think of a good question, then remember it, remember it's up to you
P.S Dont steal stupid lines from movies or anything, it usually goes wrong trust me

Keep up on current events, entertainment, etc. However do not go overboard with it. Try to find things she is interested in and share things about yourself ; start small - don't give up all the good stuff at once.

You don't need to talk all the time. Be easy with looking around, enjoying the scenery/lights/dancing.
Suggest going for a coffee. The walk there will give you chance not to have to talk all the time.
Relax - the girls are probably finding it just as hard.

Hi
You really shouln't be worried about what to say, normally those "boring"questions are what most girls prefer.Trie asking about intrests and what they do for fun.Not all girls are 'into' the pick up line thing......
