i like being an atheist not just because i have no need for god but also i have no need for organised religion. i prefer to have the freedom to run my own life. so Humanists confuse me they call themselves athiests yet seem to like organised religion. surely the existance of organised religion is worse then the potential existance of some form of god?

A husband and wife came for counseling after 15 years of marriage.

When asked what the problem was, the wife went into a long, painful
tirade,listing every problem they had ever had. She went on and on and
on about neglect, lack of intimacy, emptiness, loneliness, feeling
unloved and unlovable, an entire laundry list of unmet needs she had
endured over the course of their marriage.

Finally, the therapist got up, walked around the desk, asked the wife
to stand, and then embraced and kissed her passionately.
The woman quietly sat down as though in a daze.

The therapist turned to the husband and said, "This is what your wife
needs at least three times a week. Can you do this?"

The husband thought for a moment and replied,.. "Well, I can drop her
off here on Mondays and Wednesdays, but on Fridays, I golf.

A professor of mathematics sent a fax to his wife. It read:

"Dear wife, You must realize that you are 54 years old and I have certain needs which you are no longer able to satisfy. I am otherwise happy with you as a wife, and I sincerely hope you will not be hurt or offended to learn that by the time you receive this letter, I will be at the Grand Hotel with my 18-year-old teaching assistant. I'll be home before midnight. - Your Husband"

When he arrived at the hotel, there was a faxed letter waiting for him that read as follows:

"Dear Husband. You too are 54 years old, and by the time you receive this, I will be at the Breakwater Hotel with the 18-year-old pool boy. Being the brilliant mathematician that you are, you can easily appreciate the fact that 18 goes into 54 a lot more times than 54 goes into 18. Don't wait up."

So, I have bad teeth.

It all started when I was pregnant with my kids, I don't know what happend, but my teeth started to break and go bad.

Yes, I brush and floss my teeth on a daily basis, I just quit smoking, but they still keep breaking.

I'm gonna be 28 years old, and I have already had several teeth pulled. It's really messing with my self esteem.

Any thoughts?

I find it nauseating when I see the word of God handled so deceitful and promiscuously.I have decided to take a stand.I have been on Yahoo for a very short time now,but my eye's have been openned.No wonder the world looks at the christian realm the way they do.
