If the picture was taken by a digital camera, plug the cable into the camera and the USB side in the computer. a screen will comeup asking you what you want to do. copy THAT one picture to your hard drive and then either send it by email or copy it to a flash or some kind of drive and give it to the person who does the newsletter.

Use a digital scanner. Most likely he took the picture with a digital camera so I would ask if he's still got it saved digitally. You can always take it to Kinko's and have them put it on a floppy disc, CD or memory card.

You can go to one of the kodak kiosk's and copy in onto a disk, you can then pull the digital pic into the newsletter.

Use a scanner to scan it into your computer. Or you could take a digital photo of it and use that, although the lighting and setup would have to be really good.
