whever i make bullets they never line up right. and i know there are two triangles and and "L" on top, but i dont know what each one means... anyone who can understand this.. please help!!!

okay, the upside down triangle on top shows u where the actual bullet is going to go.
the "L" shaped thing is where the FIRST sentence after the bullet will start
the regular triangle with the rectangle on bottom shows u where there rest of the words cant go past. (so if u have a bullet and a paragraph:
{bullet} First sentence starts here, but when you type more words they go back to the beginning of the line. so the last thing shows u where these words are going.

These marks in the ruler bar are left margin and hanging indent markers. The best way to solve this problem is to clear the settings completely (Control + Q) then use the bullet button in the toolbar which will automatically create an indent for the bullet. To change the location of the bullet use the Increase/Decrease Indent buttons in the toolbar.
