As we all know there is a bill on the floor in reguards to the cap amount of troops to go to IRAQ. If it goes to the president and he vetoes this bill what happens in the process after that does the bill just die?

I ask because when I was in high school we learned that the Americas were sparsely populated when the Europeans arrived, and most of the inhabitants were nomadic tribes of one sort of another. Also, they were naieve politically

Turns out that research since at least the 60s is leading people to believe that the Americas had more people than Europe at the time, and that cities like Tenochtitlan were more populous than Paris (and in better condition, with running water etc.). The disparity seems to come from the fact that by the time later Europeans came to document the native peoples, up to 8 or 9 in 10 native peoples had died due to smallpox, influenza, or other disease brought (unintentionally in the vast majority of cases) by Europeans. That accounts for millions of people and also for the quick fall of some of the civilizations after conflict with Europe.

Also there was complex, Machiavellian politics in the new world before Eurpeans came.

Do they teach any of this these days?

I'm getting alot of bad grades. Not a bunch of F's, but Cs and Ds. One F in Spanish. My friend is getting B's and A's. She's currently on the merit role. I really am friends with her, but next year I go to the high school and I think that the teachers are going to put us in teams depending on our grades. There are still two quaters left until 8th grade is left. Do I have a chance to still be in her team? Also, since I'm in 8th grade, if I were to get straight A's for the rest of my school life, would I still have a chance at Harvard, even though I've been making average since I was in 1st grade?

i mean we get along well and there is great chemistry . but sometimes i feel that we dont connect as in its like we know each other too well i love him but at times i feel that we dont have a future i am very ambitious and focused and he is a bit laid back in life we are both in the film industry and this attitude is not good . i am very hardworking and he dosent believe in hardwork just because he is goodlooking at times he fails to understand me what do i do is this just a pasing phase or a genuine problem

we broke up officially a couple days ago, because he couldn't be with me anymore because we argued all the time about nothing and i would always complain how he never treated me like a girlfriend. for the past couple days i've been calling him and just crying and telling him how i want him back, even though i've been finding out recently that he's been hanging out with a few girls lately, (who by the way are noted to be 15 and 17 .. he's 20 but he's still in high school and i'm at college about an hour away but this happened over winter break) but we've been dating for about 2 years and he was my first. i never thought i'd take this so hard so i either need to get over him the right way or get him back. help?!

I was cleaning my bathroom floor; and near the sink there was specks of what looked like saw dust. I further inspected and there is a little hole hole that looked munched on in the door way where the wood frame is near the floor.
That was yesterday I checked on it today and there is more saw dust all around.

Is it termites?

Hi,

My question-or rather a series of question pertaining to one thought is. I'm really horrible at Math and Physics but I really want to be a Computer Engineer/Scientist when I grow up. I'm currently in HS and need to find study methods in order to do better.

-Can anyone suggest/ discuss their study methods for math and physics? and how many hours daily they study?
-Should I be a computer engineer/scientist even though I'm like horrible at math and physics? Can one achieve that ideal?

Any thoughts and suggestions are welcome too.

My husband works long hours and I have just started a job taking care of children. I clean our house, do the dish, make dinner,wash clothes and make sure the bills are paid on time. He comes home and he takes his shoes off and goes to the kitchen eats and lays on the sofa and watches TV. I have to stay on him about the things like PICKING UP AFTER HIMSELF,taking a shower after work.,taking the trash out,leaving the dishes out and letting the food sitting all night long and then he puts it up in the morning and sometimes he doesn't do that. We have a 13 month old daughter, After I had my daughter I went back to work and school. I would get up at 5 in the morning get dress, get my daughter ready to take her to daycare,leave drop her off and go to school and after school work. I get so tired that I ended up sick.I Drop out of school quit my job and started to stay home with my daughter. And to this day I get no help what so ever. I have tried talks but they led to fights. Please help me!
