I am a firefighter and work a 24 hour shift every 3rd day which is about 10 days a month. My 32 year old wife takes our 2 kids (5 year old daughter and 6 month old boy) to her parents (10 mins away) where they stay the night every time I'm not home. Is this normal? My wife is more than capable of handling the kids at our own house. I told her that this was embarrassing and it will confuse the kids as to where their real home is. I mean 10 nights a month is 1/3 of the time! Am I right?

Well our winter dance is coming up and at my high school its tradition that the girls ask the guys. usually for homecoming the guys ask the girls in really sweet and cute ways that make it kind of hard to say no... anyway, im going to ask this guy and im almost positive he is going to say yes. I just need to know HOW i should ask him! Our dance theme is "be my hero" or soemthing but it doesnt have to go with the theme. i seriously dont know what to do. hes kind of shy so he would probably be content with me just plainly asking but my friends say i should ask in a cute way. PLEASE give me some ideas that wont be too corny or embarassing for him, since he is the shy one. How do i ask him to the dance?

Before I had my baby, my husband and I both decided to quit. It's been a year later and he still tries to hide it behind my back. He ruined my moment of bringing my son home for the first time when I found a carton in the back seat when we were loading my new born son. Im not nocking smoking cause I used to do it, but isn't a promise a promise? He evens swore on our sons life and still did it. If he can lie about that... Can he lie about something else?

Hi! I need a little help. My hub and I have been TTC for 4 months. My last period started 12/6. Neg. test on 1/7 ans 1/11. On Sat. (1/14) I had slight pink bleeding and threw up twice. Took another test and it was neg. Nothing Sunday and then Monday had the pink once. Now today I started having heavy bleeding but only when I go to the restroom. Only slight cramps. My period never acts like this and I always have bad cramps. Is this my period? I think I'm going to the doctor on Thursday. Should I go sooner? Thanks for any advice!

What is stray current corrosion and how do you prevent it from happening to your boat? I have heard of zinc anodes, isolation transformers and galvanic isolation. What do you recomend and why?

My cousin was thrown down onto the cement by several police officers and then arrested for being drunk in public. He was not informed that he was being arrested, nor was he questioned- throwing him onto the cement was the first sign he was being arrested. No one ever read him him rights although he was "interviewed" by the Sargent of the team. The law states that reading someone their Miranda Rights is only required when being questioned about the present crime they may be convicted of but what is the difference between being "interviewed" and being "questioned?" Also, can this charge hold even if his alcohol level was never tested?

It seems there a two types of atheists. Atheists who need proof to worship and atheists who would not change their philosophy even if they had proof. Sort of reminds me of the Two Thieves. But which had more spine?

i.e - is it really worth turning all standby lights off to save our
'greenhouse effect' problem, when commercial buildings have
thousand of lights on most of the time ? How many kettle/computer/tv standby lights equate to one building with
all electric lights on many floors ? Why are commercial units
not asked to 'switch off' for at least part of the day or night -
only Jo Public seems to be harassed by Government from
their brightly lit offices.

I recommend you read this book:

American Militias: Rebellion, Racism & Religion by Richard Abanes

The three principles of the militias: to keep America White, Straight and Proud.

Goals:

- Opposition to the Federal Government, seen as the supreme evil.
- Opposition to miscegenation and the dilution of the purity of the Aryan race.
- Promotion of Christian values (Protestant - Baptist).
- Opposition to any laws against the family and seen as pro-diversity.

Methods:

- Practice guerrilla tactics constantly preparing for the "day of reckoning" (when all non-whites, non-Christians and non-straight people will be executed).
- Harrassment of white race traitors, exemplified in this cartoon:

I'm at my witt's end here. Hubby and I recently started talking to my sister-in-law last year after not speaking for almost 7 years (she and the rest of his family caused a lot of problems, tried to split us up etc) she apologized and we let her because we thought we were moving out of state, well that didnt happen. Now she calls us all the time, she's too lazy to work so she went to a shrink and now she gets ssi for "bipolar" (i'm not not knocking on bipolar people, only those who fake it to get out of working in the real world" she's always calling us, she sent one of her evil nasty daughters to stay with us for a week against my will and we almost split up over that, he treated me like crap around her. now she's "dying" of cervical cancer, and has my hubby wrapped around her finger, she has a hubby and a life but she keeps bugging us. she's threating to sue doctors because of her own stupidity and negligence. I just want her to leave us alone, hubby is always defending her.

Dear Christians, are you opened minded enough to consider the fact of the possibility that "The 3 wise men" really could've been pagan, mesopotamian astrologers?

Also, how do you feel about the fact that whenever you put up a Christmas tree--that the celebration of decorating tree's actually originated w/Paganism?
