Windows, once again, has failed to start so I need to contact them. Does anyone know their contact information, and this is on a HP computer. Do I contact HP or Microsoft?

Contact HP. I've called them several times. There number is 1800-HPINVENT. I've had several HP products, and I'm very pleased with their customer service. Microsoft might have an email correspondence at their website, but it is probable more for suggestions rather that questions. Actually, they probably do have a technical help line. HP's service only last thought 1 year from the computer purchase though, unless you purchased an extended warranty plan.

Contact HP as Microsoft will not help you with this and may charge you for just telling you that.

hp purchased the license for the windows software, and bundled it with your computer, which means hp gets to support it, not microsoft. you need to contact hp.

if you want really good support (not free though!) then call microsoft.

Microsoft will refer you to HP if it is an OEM license (Windows came with the PC).

If you purchased a Retail Box of Windows then they will offer support (for a fee).
