Before I had my baby, my husband and I both decided to quit. It's been a year later and he still tries to hide it behind my back. He ruined my moment of bringing my son home for the first time when I found a carton in the back seat when we were loading my new born son. Im not nocking smoking cause I used to do it, but isn't a promise a promise? He evens swore on our sons life and still did it. If he can lie about that... Can he lie about something else?

Confront him and let him know that you know he has not stopped smoking... Ask him why he cannot quite like you have.... He sounds like he is truley addicted and needs help to quit this... Has he talked to his doctor about quitting and maybe even the patch?

Be glad he's not doing meth or abandoning you with a baby. Keep things in perspective. It'll be great if he can quit smoking but your problem is small compared to some of the other crys for help here. Give him time. Kicking that habit will be hard. He can do it with your help better then with your complaining.

Keep things in perspective.

Congrats on the baby BTW.

First why on earth would he swear on his sons life? That is strange. If he wants to smoke tell him to go ahead, but you stick to this. And remember if you ever make a promise and happen to break it it won't be so bad. Sometimes when a man feels "CONTROLLED" he will re bell. It could be worse so don't press it if all he is doing is smoking.

Hey, it's really hard to quit smoking. It is compared to heroin. Give the man a break at least he's trying. You can't force him to quit, he has to want to quit for himself. He lies because you will nag at him about it. Stop Nagging.

In my opinion, he can stay married to his cigarettes.

Asta La Vista baby...

I'm moving back to mom's getting her help and you can stick your cigarettes up your #@ss.

As you can tell by my answer, I'm not patient.
