possible ear infection see the doc. also pull on cartilage of the ear a bit sharply and this will relieve the pressure .Also you can put a little peroxide about a half cap full in the ear and it will bubble and boil out the crap won't cure it but will relieve the pressure for tonight . If you can stand the crawling feeling in your ear for about 3 minutes.
You can't do this too often as it will dry out the ear.
Be careful this is a virus its going around in Utah So take vitamin C and vitamins Marsh mellow root 3 4 times a day ,right now plenty of rest and water.Tea drinking seems to help bring up the mucous and a vaporizer at night will help too.\

Heatiness could be the reason.
You could be having sore throat & your ears are too dry. Take more water slowly. For I guess, each time you swallow your saliva, you will feel pain in your ear. There is a linkage for both throat & ear. Try some ear drops purchase from medical hall or phamacy. Best move is to consult doctor.

the ears and the throat are kind of connnected...other than a 'sick' thing, like an ear infection or a throat infection, maybe TMJ ??

Look into it, Ive got it-it flares up here and there, sometimes very intense symptoms. Tense jaw & facial muscles, clenching teeth, sharp ear pain, clicking or popping jaw, headaches, neck and shoulder pain...any combination of these symptoms could be TMJ, mostly women in childbearing years get it...so from age .....what? 12?? to 50+??? we women are susceptible to so much discomfort with menstrual cycles, having babies, TMJ... sheesh...we are streesed out chickies.

Hope you get it figured out - oh, but if you do have TMJ, Dr's dont want to deal with it and neither do Dentists. Its rough....try to relax your face muscles-drink a lot of water, de-tox. Try to think of what may be causing you stress and try to fix it or get thru it if you cant get thru it. Good luck!
