If you're looking for more power, yes. However, it is also recommended that you upgrade to hotter gear drive camshafts (not the chain drive cams offered by Harley), which will result in more precise cam timing and eliminate the ongoing maintenance (and potential failure) of cam chain tensioners, probably the major weakness in Twin Cam engines, beside the extremely lean mixtures programmed into the ECM from the factory. In addition, it would be a very good idea to reprogram the ECM with a SERT (Screaming Eagle Race Tuner) or install a Power Commander III USB in order to tune the fuel injection for good power, proper operation, and heat reduction. Changing to a superior air cleaner/intake system, such as a Screaming Eagle air filter, a Ness Big Sucker, Doherty intake, or other, will almost be a necessity. Depending on the model of bike, you will probably want to improve the exhaust, which can range from installation of aftermarket (or SE) slip-on replacement mufflers to a 2-into-1 exhaust system (which usually results in highest horsepower). In any case, after the build, it would be most appropriate to have the engine dyno-tuned by a knowledgeable technician (who is experienced with either the SERT or PC, depending on which you go with) to ensure that the engine is tuned properly, that air/fuel ratios are appropriate throughout the range, and that you get good power. One other recommendation: install an oil cooler as part of your build, as it will be necessary with the increased displacement and power.

Well, that depends on what YOU consider worth it.
My bike has an S&S 107 cu in motor, and the bike weighs 540 lbs, so it pretty much outruns any stock Harley around.
Us Americans are known for our "conspicuious consumtion", meaning, if this amount is good, more is better, and too damn much oughtta be just about right.
