Shouldn't the time before and after be roughly equal? Is the need for DST greater in the winter than in the fall? (No.) It's about hours of daylight, not heat, right?

For my life career I'd like to have a job that must include creative writing or story writing. I live a smaller sized town with a population of about 2000 people. The biggest thing in this town is Wal-mart. I will NOT move from my town, which would be away from my family. I'd love to work for a magazine but then I'd have to move which I will not do. I'm not interested in becoming a teacher. ANY SUGGESTIONS ON JOBS?

It got pretty cold here last night, and now we have no hot water. The cold water is flowing normally, but the hot water isn't even letting out a trickle. Is it frozen pipes? It is happening with all the faucets in the house. We don't have a basement, so it looks like the pipes are underground, so I can't try to warm them. What should I do ?

I rescued an old Tevion MD41666 universal remote control from my parents rubish bin earlier today and apparently they do not have the instructioin manual anymore because they could not make it work.
I have an Alba TV and no remote, i can get the remote to turn my tv on to standbye by pressing All Off, i take it this means it is atleast partl compatible. The problem is i have no way to find out what the codes are that are required to make the remote work correctly, any help will be greatly appreciated, i did see a question concerning this here earlier but the responses did not help and the question was locked.

Also called "Disassociative Identity Disorder" I saw on documentaries how people's personalities suddenly change. But has there ever been a case where someone who knew they had the disorder was able to have control over their different personalities? That is, to stop him/herself from switching to one to any of the others? To willingly change from one to another?

There is a zero violence tolerance in all schools. We all agree with that. There is a teenager who wants his picture in the yearbook wearing medieval chain mail vest and a sword - parents are sueing "free speech. He belongs to an organization that re-enacts wars from that era. What next - another teenager wants his picture taken with a gun/rifle because he is a member of NRA or the Hunting Club? I know that we have alot of freedoms, but they are not "free" per say alot of our "Patriots" gave their lives for these "freedoms". So when is the madness going to stop?

The station went out of business in the 60's and tanks were never removed. Should I be concerned? The owner of property dosn't drink his own well water. He never told me why. I recently found out about the fuel tanks buried there. I'm drinking my well water and never had it tested.
