I applied for a position and got an e-mail reply from the employer saying they were impressed by my C.V. and would like to invite me to attain an open interview and asked me to book a position for it. I called today but the HR person was not in her office so I emailed back to the CEO(also the one who sent me the e-mail before) aked whether or not I'd be able to call him on his convenience to book a position. I was thinking to have a word with him as well. But he just sent a copy of having some people at HR department reserving a position for me but ask me to call him.

Does that mean he wasn't so interested in hiring me? Why didn't they give me a telephone inverview before the face to face interview? Please give me some suggestions and opinions, thank you!

I was already excited about the gifts I was planning to get them (nice stuff) when they emailed me with these requests...I'm torn between saying, "it's my money, I'll buy what I like to buy" and "Well if it's a gift, they should get what they want regardless of how much I dread having to buy this type of gift." Which would you do? Assuming they are both in the same price range....

Okay last night I caught my uncle hurting my brother. Everyone knows that my brother - newly adoptive - was abused. I told my mother and she didn't care. So I went and told my dad and he said he would file a police report. I did watch my dad talk to my uncle last night, but I know my uncle hit my brother a few times this morning. I think my uncle thinks my brother told on him (which, unfortenetly, he probably wouldn't.)

Then the real kicker: I caught my uncle talking to my real brother, and he gave him a VICEIOUS blow to the side of the head! I don't know what to do, and I'm afraid my uncle may have been hurting him for a long time now.

HELP!
