My wife doesn't like my son to watch horror movies. She thinks its very bad. My son is 13. Is it abnormal for him to like horror movies?

Your son is 100% normal! My 16 year old LOVES horror flicks and SO DO I! Saw 1 2 and 3 are allllll awesome! Lots of people love the thrill of being scared! He is completely normal! Especially at that age! All his other friends watch them and Im sure your son knows its just a movie! Stand up for your son!!!!! You r his parent too! Good luck to u

I agree, i have continually been an similar... i'm a touch older than you (19) yet growing up i replaced into continually considered of having unusual flavor in videos. i have continually been a huge horror movie fan yet our generations p.c.. are undesirable. i replaced into obseesed with videos which incorporates; A Nightmare on Elm highway series, The Exorcist, Friday The thirteenth series, The Fly, Fright nighttime, Halloween, youngster's Play, Poltergiest, An American Werewolf in London, The Shining, Carrie, puppy Sematary, IT, The Entity, Christine, Cujo, grimy Dancing, quite woman, Ghost, Grease, The Rocky Horror image instruct, Breakfast at Tiffanys, quite In purple, Jersey female, The lost Boys, humorous Bones, Dumb and Dumber, slumbering with the Enemy, The mask, l. a. Bamba, Edward Scissorhands, etc even as i replaced into youthful also captivated with Tim Burton... he replaced into the most amazingly imaginative recommendations!

HAHA no. Honestly, a lot of teenagers love to be scared and consider it a release. As they get older, they either still love them or don't. A lot of times, they grow out of them. I thought they were funny when I was that age, Blair Witch Project made me laugh really hard.

I would just limit rated R exposure till he is older, some of that stuff is just disturbing. If your wife is extra nervous, preview the movie first or watch it together!! It is a perfect opportunity for a family night!

that is totally normal. i never liked horror movies, it's just not my thing, but pretty much everyteen i know has seen a horror movie, and most have liked them. don't worry, although you might want to wait for another year, or at least watch them with him until he's a little older.

No it is normal. Most teens like these movies because it gives them a bit of a rush or maybe gets their adrenaline going. It is okay, I would just watch the kind of movies he watches. I would not allow my child to watch any bloody, brutal, nasty movies.

no, my daughter and I went on our monthly date this month and had dinner (Chinese) and a movie (Saw III), she loved it!
