Foods containing ginger are supposed to help with nausea. My friend's sister swore by these Ginger Chews http://www.gingerpeople.com/order_chews.html when she was pregnant. Also, if it helps at all, Mythbusters did a test on sea-sickness remedies, and the Ginger worked wonders for them too!
Congratulations to your sister and good luck!

It's hard. Not everyone will understand that "morning sickness" can be an all day, every day thing. My first son gave me the terribles when I held him under my heart. So, here is the main suggestions I have. EAT LIGHT. White bread is kind of gross, but, to be honest, it was one of the few things I could keep down consistantly. PLEASE take a prenatal vitamin. Eat often, and try to go for bland items as much as possible.. stay away from tomatoes, oranges, etc. If possible, get a little more sleep after eating (I know, when you are healthy, that's the worst thing to do!), however, it will slow down the metabolism, and sometimes help keep the food down. I also suggest taking things a little slower, not to eat after vomiting (give a good 1/2 hour) and baby herself...

Ginger biscuits and rich tea biscuits are good for settling the stomach oh and dry toast. Not very exciting but they worked for me. I was told to eat the biscuits as soon as i opened my eyes before getting out of bed. Other than that just tell her to eat whatever she can keep down at the mo. Hope she feels well soon. My sickness went when i was around 12 weeks so there's hope for her x x

Vital Vitamins During Pregnancy
You'll need higher levels of vitamin supplementation during pregnancy, so talk to your health-care provider about prenatal vitamins containing iron (for healthy blood) and calcium (for healthy bones). Also, pick fortified foods (such as fortified breakfast cereals or orange juice with calcium) — these are easy ways to get extra vitamins into your diet.
The Well-Balanced Diet During Pregnancy
To get the nutrients you and your unborn baby need, plan your meals to include these daily basics:
* 6 to 11 servings of grain products
* 3 to 5 servings of vegetables
* 2 to 4 servings of fruits
* 4 to 6 servings of milk and milk products
* 3 to 4 servings of meat and protein foods
* 6 to 8 glasses of water, fruit juice, or milk
* Limited servings of fatty foods and sweets
