I have 2 neutered female pit bulls, one, age 3 (actually a pit bull mix), and one, age 18 months. THey are quite possibly THE MOST wonderful dogs I've ever owned, despite a serious recent problem between the two of them. But, they are AS DIFFERENT as night and day from one another. However, the ONE THING that they BOTH do, is they lick CONSTANTLY!!! They LICK everything! The floors, the walls, me, other people, and, until I recently have had to keep them totally separated from one another, they used to lick each other, too, not to mention themselves of course. I've owned dogs all my life, but NEVER had pit bulls before, and NEVER had dogs who licked like this. I don't mind it - they CONSTANTLY lick my legs, knees, and whatever other parts of me that they can reach at any given moment, except that I DON'T let them lick my face (one of them eats poop). I'm just curious about this. Have others had the same experience? Any explanations?

I have made several prayer requests (check my profile) for my close friend April, who has been in the hospital for more than 4 months. She was in a coma for over a month, after her cowardly ex b/f gave her a severe concussion.

Doctors weren't sure she would ever come out of coma and they claimed she had 65% permanent brain damage, with very little chance of any significant recovery.

I found this very difficult to accept, as April certainly didn't deserve to suffer so much at such a young age (23). I prayed that God would help April fully regain her health, and I had faith that she would be healed.

For those who have offered their prayers & kind words to my previous requests, you have my sincere thanks ...... April came out of her coma about a month ago, and she is showing steady improvement as time passes. She is now able to recognize close friends & communicate with them : )

one of my best guy friends is mad at me and idk wut to do...

okay so.. i am a 15 year old girl. i have 2 best friends, and when they go to parties they drink. i havent been to a party w/ alcohol yet, and they said they want to get me drunk. i really dont want to. i could just start talking to them less, and make more friends.. but aths the hard part. alot of teens drink because they think its cool, and they want to fit in. my friends dont have problems with alcohol, they just think its fun to drink. i told them, no, i dont want to get drunk,whats fun about puking and falling everywhere and not even remembering anything? there not alcoholics or anything tho. i kinda have trouble making new friends cause im kinda shy. i mean with certain people i talk to them and we just click and were friends but with most peole its like... umm.. akward. should i just try to make new friends? or just never go to parties. please help. I have a machine with a 433MHz processor, 384MB RAM, and a 6.4 GB hard disk. I'm wanting Linux, OpenOffice and Firefox on it, but I have no real experience on non-Windows yet so I need some advice on where to start.
