I support horse rescues, good owners AND horse slaughter. Aside from horse theft, which is already a crime, horse slaughter is good and useful IMO. What do you do when the shelters are full and there are no more good homes willing to take broken or unwanted horses? At least some use is gained from slaughter. Not to mention it is FAR less painfull then years of starvation and neglect in the name of Love trapped in a backlot somewhere. I've seen too much of that(sigh.) Oh, and if even ONE person suggests "letting them all run free"...well I hope they hit a horse on a highway.

Me and my boyfriend are spending our first xmas in our new place together the only problem is that for xmas neither of us like christmas pudding or cake or anything with dried fruit or nuts in it!! I want to be truthful and say this "I ejoyed the time toghether that we spent and the sex was good; however, I am not completely fullfilled in this relationship that we started that sort of went a little fast. I think it would be best if we remain the friends that we were before and continue on with our lives."

I was planning on buying an HIS Radeon X1650 Pro PCI-E 512MB GDDR2 video card but I only have 512MB onboard system RAM. (I know they are the same amount but I read a magazine stating "On-board Memory should be a greater amount than Video Memory."

do I take the fun class first? or the practical one? (and maybe do fun later on??)?

I'm trying to decide between classes that are only offered once a year.
Should I take the practical ones for my major? or the ones that mean a lot to me and would feed my soul? assuming I don't HATE them --entirely possible. If I take the fun ones they would count but it would push my graduation time back a semester at least.

I'm working on some Java code, and I create a string with characters of another string.

example: strStringName = "" + strAnotherString.charAt( 0 ) + strAnotherString.charAt( 1 );

Since I include the empty quotes at the beginning, this assignment statement should automatically typecast the added characters as string type. This statement works fine for me in my code; this is not where the problem lies.

Next, I evaluate whether that string is equivalent to a string literal in an IF statement.

example:
if (strStringName == "ab")
{
(this doesn't work, blah blah blah)
}

For some reason, this IF statement evaluates the express as "false"...which it shouldn't do!

However, if I use the charAt method, it works...but it sure is a lot of added code I have to write which I shouldn't have to.

example:
if (strStringName.charAt(0) == 'a' && strStringName.charAt(1) == 'b')
{
(this works, blah blah blah)
}

wtf is going on??!!!!...is it a bug with the SDK/JDK?...bleh!
