Yes you should be able to - while the surround sound could be tricky, the projector should just be a case of pluggin it in really, through a Three pin scart if neccessary

Good projectors...depends on price range - the optoma EP719R is around £700 last time I checked, and is pretty much the best for the money. However, not too good when running DVDs through the S-Video - running through the XBOX itself should sort the problems though.

If you use it as proper home cinema, you're looking more expensive - BenQ PE7700 - which is around £1100, £1200

Cheaper is the Viewsonic PJ406D at about £400-500, but it can be a pain to get right in a small room, and it's zoom is paltry. It has the same DVD probs as the Optoma, but once again, running it through XBOX should clear that - but it only has a 800x600 res, whereas the optoma has a 1024x768 res, much better for gaming.

In the end it all depends on price range really.

I don't recommend using any video game system on a projection devices, as images can 'burn' into the lense.

And I don't mean catch fire or anything, I mean where the one image stays on the screen for long periods of time that image stays there. For example if you play a racing game a lot on the screen, a ghost like image of the tacometer may remain on your screen.
