Well over 100 million christians in this country believe the earth was created in 6 literal 24 hour days 6000 years ago. We are in big trouble, people. This is absolutely absurd in view of the fact we can use radiocarbon dating to measure the age of objects with good accuracy. There are literally MILLIONS of articles out there that deal with paleontology, astronomy, geology etc.. confirming the age of the earth, dinosaur fossils, etc..as WAY OVER 6000 years old.

So my question for you is:

Do you believe the Bible is the complete, inerrant word of god (earth is only 6000 years old, made in 6 days etc..) and radiocarbon dating is balderdash made up by atheists and fancy book learnin' researchers to debunk your religion? And if you do think the earth is 6000 years old, how are you able to live your life willfully ignoring volumes of factual research that conflict with your Bible?

I am wanting to dye my hair where it's darker on bottom and lighter on top. I am going to go to the salon to get it done and I'm trying to figure out the best way to describe this to my stylist. I know there is probaly a term for it but I can't find it. Also I want her to blend it so it gradually gets lighter so it's not such a big contrast. So does anyone know what it's techincally called or a place to find pictures I can show her?

When a window pops up sometimes it doesn't have the explorer bar (back/forward arrow) on it......There is no option to put it on (when I right click not there to choose) I can however choose full screen and it pops up with the explorer bar and when minimized it stays. I don't want to have to go through that.

Okay i'm friends with this guy. We have been friends for a really long time. We've only gone out once, well he is with this girl and she's about 5 months pregnant. I know i should only be his friend but lately he's been flirten a lot with me. Like just the other day he grab my hand and we were holding hands or whatever but i got kinda freaked out and let go. I have been in a serious realtionship with a woman for about 8 months now. She has been separated from her husband for quite some time (3-4 years). They have not gone through with an official divorce yet for a few reasons (some related to children and some financial).

Our relationship has gotten quite serious and we would like to get engaged in the near future, but I have also been saying "I'm not going to get engaged to you until the divorce is final". It just doesn't feel right getting engaged to someone who is STILL legally married.

This was not a big deal until a recent meeting with a lawyer has her now thinking the divorce would be another 20-21 months at which point we will have been dating for over 2 1/2 years. When the divorce was only 3-4 months away, my view of waiting to get engaged seemed reasonable..Now it's leading to tension..

Am I being ridiculous here?? Is it OK to get engaged to someone still legally married??

I have a two stage high efficiency Carrier furnace installed in 2000 that we've been having trouble with every winter. The furnace will intermittently stop running and won't come on unless the front cover to the furnace is pushed or the thermostat is clicked off and then on (the latter doesn't always work though and we have to go push the door anyway). We change the air filters every month, and even had the thermostat (programmable) changed twice, the last time by a service tech. Nothing seems to work. The manufacturer said that since the furnace kicks on when the door is pushed or the thermostat is turned off and then on, its a thermostat problem. The manufacturer of the thermostat (Honeywell) says that the thermostat is working properly and that its the furnace that is the issue. Anyone got any ideas to fix this furnace since these two companies aren't being any help? Thanks in advance!

upper body pain from soreness or feels like a ucler sharp pain on right side of stomach and pain all over stomach, like gas , but none. The pain comes and goes,especially before I eat, and after I eat something the pain goes away, for awhile than comes back . Whats the problem?
