Well pardon me if I take the Bible's definition of faith...."Faith is the evidence of things not seen"

Faith is different than belief. By the Bible definition, at Hebrews 11:1, Faith is based on having enough evidence to trust in what is yet unseen. Example: Before the discovery of some yet unseen planets scientists had evidence of their existence, because of their effect on other planets. Finally the planets were discovered. That is how true faith works.

Obviously there are things outside of our experience and knowledge. The only things we can prove are those things we've experienced or learned about. So does that make everything else non-existent? Of course not.
The faith in God, the biblical faith, isn't faith in a God who doesn't exist nor a faith in a God who cannot be proved. It's a faith that believes in a promise that has yet to be fulfilled. There is a big difference.

This seems true for some, but not for all. I also find it dangerous that some of these people will choose faith over fact. Even if that fact is staring them in the face, they deny it or call it the work of the devil. This in a very dangerous condition for a human being, who's main tool for survival is the brain.

You cant prove the existence of God, but you cant disprove it either, can you? For me i feel God, i feel and see his power all around me every day, I've read his book and for me that's all i need. Why are people who are non believers so offended and trying to disprove that our beliefs are no more than myths and stories. I'm not trying to prove to you he is there but it always seems atheist are trying to convince people of belief he is not there. If you don't believe in God that's your affair i could care less. Why should you care if people do believe, why? why does it bother you so?
What good is atheism if it has you disbelieving in something that you cannot prove is not true???

"Faith is the ASSURED expectation of things HOPED for, the evident demonstration of realities , though NOT beheld. For by means of this the men of old times had wittness borne to them"
By faith we perceive that the system of things were put in order by Gods word, so taht what is beheld has come to be out of things that do not appear"-----Hebrews 11:1-3

Simply being unable to prove something doesn't make it untrue. To make such a claim is arrogant and pig-headed.
