When a window pops up sometimes it doesn't have the explorer bar (back/forward arrow) on it......There is no option to put it on (when I right click not there to choose) I can however choose full screen and it pops up with the explorer bar and when minimized it stays. I don't want to have to go through that.

The issue I think isnt with IE 7.. It just happens you visited a site that was designed by the programmer like that - i.e., deactivated buttons when you click a link that opens another window - . it just happens that they have not considered it a problem since you can close that window anytime to go back to the previous screen.

Try checking other sites and see if they have similar problems.

This is one of the things I hate about IE7 - you have no control!

In Firefox I can go in and say "Always show the navigation bar / address bar" and no matter what the sites tell it, it'll do what I want.

This is what I love about Firefox - if I want something to change, all I have to do is look it up / ask someone and I can change it!

Don't like banner / flash / iframe ads? With one add-on they're gone! It's called Adblock Plus.
Want to control your music player buy hate clicking around to switch to it? It's called FoxyTunes.
There are literally hundreds to thousands more add-ons! All free!
