As part of my english assignment we have to write a 5 page paper on a stereotype that we have experienced in our life. Although I have experienced many of them, such as growing up in a small town or being an athlete which makes me unintelligent....

Daily we see the justification issue played out by both sides in an endless he said/she said tirade. It has reached the point where it is impossible to have a civilized discussion on the matter. If you support the war for whatever reason your opinion is unjustified to one side. If you are against the war for whatever reason it is unjustified to the other side. The point I am making is that it doesn't matter at this point whether we were justified or not. The fact is that we did invade and we have to proceed on that basis. What purpose is served by this constant sniping on the issue? The real questions at this point are, How are we going to get out of Iraq? and What will the majority of people consider an as acceptible outcome?

I've just recieved braces and found it difficult to eat, not because of the pain, but because food keeps getting caught in the metal thingy on the roof of my mouth. Also, it's really hard to swallow. I can't even take one small bite without spending 5 minutes trying to get the stuff out.

I'm 18 and a senior in high school. I've been wanting to ask this girl out for some time now. She is really, really shy. She's the type who won't start a conversation but will talk when someone starts first. We don't really "know" each other, not even names, but we've talked once in the library. She leaves directly at lunch because she takes the bus home. I notice that from a distance she will glance at me and see what I'm doing, then she'll hurry to the bus. We don't have any classes together so its really hard to get in touch with her. My question is this, how do I start something with this really really shy girl? Should I try and get her email or something to get to know her first or should I flat out ask her out so we can get to know each other there? She's really shy so I don't want to come on too strong, but enough to make my point. If anybody has any ideas on how to start something worth while and any ideas on places to ask her out to, please post them.

I'm looking for a John Stallworth jersey for my boyfriend's dad for Christmas. BUT i dont know anything about finding a jersey. The ones I've seen on google that are authentic are about $300. I want one that looks exactly like a steelers jersey but it doens't have to be authentic. I was looking around ebay and noticed that most of the jerseys have stuf "sewn on". I thought that meant it was fake until I saw the same words on the Steelers store. The Farmers Branch City Council on Monday night unanimously approved ordinances preventing illegal immigrants from renting apartments, making English the city's official language and allowing police officers to be federally trained to target "criminal aliens."
Other communities, such as Escondido, Calif., Valley Park, Mo., and Hazleton, Pa., have passed similar measures, although all face court challenges.
Farmers Branch Councilman Tim O'Hare, who initially suggested pursuing the measures locally, said that he has received about 2,000 e-mails since Monday night and that fewer than a dozen were negative.
"The goal of this is to let everyone in this country illegally know they are not welcome in Farmers Branch," O'Hare said.

OK. what do you think? Why won't people come in legally? I don't understand? Why "sneak" in when there is a way to do it legally? Help me understand folks....
