I've just recieved braces and found it difficult to eat, not because of the pain, but because food keeps getting caught in the metal thingy on the roof of my mouth. Also, it's really hard to swallow. I can't even take one small bite without spending 5 minutes trying to get the stuff out.

RYAN,
I HAD BRACES IN COLLEGE AND THE BEST ADVICE I CAN GIVE YOU IS TO TAKE SMALL BITES, TRYING TO OPEN WIDE TO GET A BIG BITE WON'T REALLY BE EASY REMEMBER TO TAKE OFF YOUR RUBBER BANDS BEFORE EATING, AND PUT THEM BACK ON AFTER BRUSHING.IF YOU'RE AT SCHOOL BRUSH IN THE BATHROOM BEFORE RETURNING TO CLASS.
A GOOD TOOL FOR YOU -AND EVERYONE AT HOME- IS T USE A WATERPIK ORAL IRRIGATOR BEFORE GOING TO SLEEP. YOUR ORTHDONTIST WILL BE IMPRESSED WITH THE CLEANLINESS AND GOD HEALTH OF YOUR GUMS.
