Perhaps some of us are older, been there, done that, burnt out ,had a hard experence, sickness ,and motive to move on is not there. And without motive is like a car without a motor.

Well there's many reasons. Let's first start with the people that are lazy because someone else will do it for them. And then there is medical reasons be it deficiencies or psychological, like people who get depressed and find no "joy" in anything they do so they do nothing or we can not forget the ones who may consistently get put down when they try.
Breaking the habit is situational....
you first try to get whom ever you speak of interested in getting up into something they enjoy. Then as they gain self esteem they may broaden their horizons and reach out more to doing other things. However some people are just gonna be lazy....Called home training....you always must go to the "source" and ask them .why? and what would make it change?...that's really where you start. Hope that's useful!!!!!!!!!!!! Now get up off your butt and go do something....lol

I think that people become lazy because their life gets to become so boring. People do the same thing every day and if they put a little change into their life I think they would start to do more. I think habits makes people lazy. Now, i'm not saying all habits are bad but to throw a loop into your life every now and then will keep you in your toes and prevent you from the same things every day.

No action, to much on the mind that how its happened, if there was something really cool to do all the time then we wouldn't be lazy but things are just to boring, some people can't stand still for more then an hour but most prefer laziness because it does give you time to think about things that haven't crossed your mind for some time.

the project is inclusive of your age. almost absolutely everyone on your age reviews the confusion, dilama, laziness, imagenary fears, and rigidity wondering about destiny, what to do, what now to not do..etc. don't worry. you're an sensible boy and could triumph over this short-time period section very quickly. Do morning workouts, practice a time schedule for elementary events and attempt to spotlight study. Take the advice of a competent coach or handbook in case you may.

Some people are given everything and never have to develop traits of motivation and tenacity. They don't know how to push themselves to do things that don't appeal to them and when they do begin something, if they get tired, they quit. For some people in this instance, it really is not their fault. The people who trained them to be this way are to blame. ( This is only one instance, this does not apply to everyone that is lazy.)

Lack of motivation. It could be from many different reasons.
eg: weight gain, lack of $$$$$
lost of a love one
demoted
etc..etc...
How to Break em?
new environment, therapy, change in daily habits, appreciate life, there are many people out there who are less fortunate.
new friends with good influence to motivate them that they could do better in life than just sitting around
win a lotto...lol

Someone or something has taken their joy. People need a reason to go on. Give them a purpose.

They're not lazy. They are laid back. Why should we tell them to get a job? Jobs are overrated.
