Brown Paper Bag Method
This method involves placing the turkey in a large brown paper bag, the type used in grocery stores, and cooking the bird at a very low temperature. Experts agree that brown paper bags were never intended for use as cooking utensils. The glue, ink, chemicals and other materials used in recycling grocery bags are unsanitary and some bags may even contain tiny metal shavings.

Make It Safe - To make this method safe, replace the brown bag with a turkey-size oven-cooking bag. Cooking turkey at temperatures below 325°F is unsafe, so increase the oven temperature to 350°F. Use a food thermometer. A whole turkey is safe when cooked to a minimum internal temperature of 165 °F as measured with a food thermometer. Check the internal temperature in the innermost part of the thigh and wing and the thickest part of the breast. For reasons of personal preference, you may choose to cook the turkey to higher temperatures. The temperature in all parts should read 165 °F or higher.

Worked for me, Good Luck!

Most inventive? Hmm.... I'd first remove all the contents from the chest cavity, then season well with S&P and rub with some good olive oil. Then I'd wrap the buzzard up in heavy-duty foil (at least 2 layers). Once your truck is warmed up, place the bird next to the engine, close to the rear near the firewall (be carefull it doesn't touch the exhaust manifold). Then it's a simple 15 miles per pound at 45 MPH. Rotate the turkey once during the trip (maybe when you stop and pick up more beer).

the most simplest way to cook turkey and comes out delicious.
clean the turkey really well. give it a good bath. take out all the guts and neck and all the other weird things from its belly. after patting it dry, spread the whole thing with a jar of mayonnaise. afterwards, get garlic (diced or grated works great) and spread it all over it also. place on a foil dish and place in the oven and follow the direction on the turkey itself.
baste it once in a while and when it is done. yummy, yummy, yummy.
enjoy

The Cajun way is really good. You can find it at www.gumbopages.com/food/poultry/fried-turk.html

But, there is a website that has lots of turkey recipes, both traditional and otherwise. Try www.eatturkey.com/ or www.razzledazzlerecipes.com/ or the Butterball site.

Enjoy!

Don't fool around with turkey preps. You could have a major disaster on your hands when everyone is looking forward to a good meal. Go to www.butterball.com for good information.
