When many of them have never even been to Iraq?
Both sides do it!
I'm tired of it. I don't support OR protest the war, simply because I've heard too many conflicting perspectives on it.
One soldier told me he hated the Iraqi people, because they would see someone set down an IED, and look the other way.
Another said that the Iraqi people all called him (and the other guys in his unit) their "brothers." This one is very much anti-war, and hates Bush.
Another told me that the Iraqi people work with them, and are wonderful, warm people. He also said that while he was there, he hardly saw any sectrarian violence.
Yet another told me it was awful there, and he saw way too much violence.
So you see, it's not as good as many supporters make it out to be, and it's not as horrible as many protesters make it out to be. Are there people dying? Well, yes, of course, that's what usually happens in a war. But there's also good. And lots of it.
That's why I'm neutral.
