It shouldn't hurt(especially the diamonds),but I've found tooth paste to be the absolute best thing to clean gold with It costs less than jewelry cleaner and never seems to tarnish.Regular jewelry cleaner seems to work best on silver.
Alcohol nor anything else will hurt your diamonds and is actually the best thing I've ever found to clean glass without streaking.

Sure, but it depends on what your are trying to clean off.

Alcohol is a solvent for many things, but not all. Water is a more universal solvent.

Toothpaste is water based and contains a mild abrasive. It certainly won't hurt diamonds and the abrasive acts like a polishing compound on the gold and silver.

Tooth Paste works on Gold and Silver but the best its Tarn X .

I clean silver/gold bars with it makes them all shiny and new and dosent hurt them a bit .

yes but not alot beacuse it will rub offf plus its for disinfecting
