guitar is not easy to learn, it takes some hard work and there is some physical pain involved (your hands, wrist, and fingers WILL hurt). While a piano has 80 some playable notes, most guitars have 130 or so.

The best thing to do is take lessons from somebody that already knows, even if it's just a friend. If you can't do that, get a starter book at your local music store (make sure it has a play along cd) and go from there.

Don't get discouraged and always have fun with it.

GET A METRONOME.

I get guitar tab off the internet all the time for free. Most of it is correct but sometimes you have to sort out the B.S. if you know what I mean. Good luck playing guitar. I taught myself how to play about 12 years ago and now I play almost every day. You have good taste in music by the way. Iron Maiden ROCKS!!!!!!!!!
