My son has asthma, which usually only appears when he has a cold.

For the past couple of weeks he's had a permanently blocked nose and a frequent cough. But I'm confused - I thought asthma was usually accompanied by a dry cough, whereas his is quite "phlegmy" - when he wakes up coughing, it seems like he has to clear his pipes and then he can go back to sleep.

What are other people's experiences. I'd just like to understand this condition better.

(And please don't tell me to see the doctor, as obviously we already have).

Today when shopping an old lady asked my aunt where the quiches were - my aunt asked me and i said three aisles that way...she looked a bit confused so i took her over to them. She was so grateful and that shocks me so much..'i havent been in here for a while and they are always moving things around - i dont like to ask ppl cos mostly they either ignore you or just talk to you like you are a child'...why are ppl like that? It took me all over 30 seconds to take her to where she wanted to be...nothing..nothing at all in my day. She said id get my reward...but i dont want one for just being polite..normal as i put it.

The world these days has become so closed...so inward. Sad isnt it...i cant understand where politeness went, or how all of a sudden the older generation are now afraid to ask questions. Sorry not a proper question just an observation really but it has kinda made me sit back and look at the world.

Available information are the length of the cable, the cross section diameter of the cable, the voltage and the amperes. For example, what is the voltage drop across 100 feet of 6mm diameter copper cable from a 12 volt AC source at one end and having a 300 watt light at the other end? The current in the cable is 25 amps.

I suppose vb.net is faster, but I don't know that much about java. Heard people say that in Java every single element on a form is coded, for e.g. a radio button has to be positioned on a form in the code. This makes the code look huge...therefore I believe java is slower than vb.

In vb you simply have to draw controls on to forms and then attach code to them. My point is, isn't this simpler and a faster way to create applications for your pc?

I am tired of stupid morons saying ohhh illegals can't get benifits that is impossble. Well heres how they do it. They cross the border illegally. Have a baby here. Then them and their entire illgal family qualifies for tons of government programs using the newly born "anchor babies" status. Tens of millions are borns a year which means two or three times that amount of illegals are accessing are government programs. That is not including the ones that do it with false ss numbers or the Hospital bills from just every day illegals. Any questions?

For anyone who speaks Russian and has heard or read Vladimir Putin's original remarks regarding Israeli President Moshe Katsav's ongoing rape investigation. I was sickened by what I read in English translation:

"What a mighty man he turns out to be! He raped 10 women - I would never have expected this from him. He surprised us all - we all envy him!"

Kremlin spokesman Dmitri Peskov admitted: "Yes really, these words were pronounced."

However, he claimed that Russian was a very subtle language and the remarks were misinterpreted...

I find the possibility of hidden subtlety here difficult to understand. Does anyone know what Putin actually said in Russian, and do you think it really is as innocent as the Kremlin spokesman claimed?
