Would like to know if it's OK to have 2 c-sections back to back and is it OK to space kids just 15 months apart.

The only thing I can see that may cause you probs is tearing your hair out having two kids under 15 months .... as for 2 c-sections ... don't sweat it ... but if you're thinking of more kids ... maybe get the doc to put a zipper in this time round?

My sister and I were 15 months apart - I was only 6 months old when my mom found out she was pregnant again (oops!). My mom had C-sections with both of us (I was an emergency and back then not too many doctors were big on VBACs so little sis was scheduled). I would think that the pregnancy might be a little harder on you because your body hasn't had as much time to recover, but I'm sure everything will be ok. The only problem we ever had being so close together was clothes and toys and stuff - because we're both girls and so close in age we were constantly fighting over who stole whose stuff (esp in high school). I wouldn't worry too much, plenty of women have kids really close together like that. Your doctor can probably tell you more, so ask at your next visit! Good luck with your pregnancy!

well, doctors will tell you that it's safer if the babies are 2-3 years apart, but I know several people who have had them close together & had perfectly healthy babies with no complications.
Don't feel like The Lone Ranger, my 1st baby is 4 1/2 months old & I am 3 1/2 months pregnant (and on the depot shot), so I got pregnant when my baby was 1 month old. Quite a surprise. I don't think there's anything to worry about as long as you take your prenatals daily & eat lots. Take care & congrats!

Oh honey, God bless. The c-section needs time to heal(had mine 10 months ago, still healing) but the baby is there now, so try to keep physical demands to minimum. As far as close in age: my mom had my brother and sis(twins) two weeks before my first birthday and she just turned 18. So 15 months isn't to bad, you'll have a long and tiring couple of yrs with the two of them, but in the future it will be a wonderful thing. Good luck with your growing family.

Honestly, the doctors do say wait at least 9 months, but it can be and normally is just fine. Rest a lot. Drink a lot of water. Take your prenatals, this is very important!!! And enjoy your little one by him/herself. I think having them close together (to answer your spacing issue) can be a challenge at first (especially when #2 starts to be mobile) but the challenge is worth it because your kids will probably be closer and better friends and pals. My two are 19 months and are everything to each other. I think you will be fine, but make sure that you REST!!! Keep your feet up a bit! Good luck.

Wow congratulations!! Unless the doc told you it's not ok to have 2 c sections back to back it should be ok. I know of people that have only spaced their children 1 year apart and they manage so good luck with that.

I think is OK. My brothers are 15 months apart and my mom had back to back C-section. She tied the tubes afterwards though.

My brother and I are almost exactly 12 months apart and everything seems to be OK. Though you will be having your hands full. The competition was tough on Mom in the early years.

If I were you I would check with the doctor. From all accounts I don't think your body has recovered enough from the first pregnancy to even think about having another one, it takes at least two years for your body to heal. But maybe things have changed since the 60's.
Are you mentally capable of taking care of two babies, in diapers, and are you going to have a lot of help??????
