D for Doctor, n for nurse, D and n are separated by 9 alphabets.so they prefer the nearer one Example:-
E for Engineer, F for Finance, G for Government Officer, H for High Court Judge, I for I. A.S, J for Journalism, K for king, L for Local Head, M for Minister,
Nobody wants that noble position. Not only doctors, even nurses don't prefer their children to become Nurses.
No profession is in fact inferior. It's services are very much needed by the Society. We have to do our duty with all our sincerity and earnestness thinking our selves as an employee in the kingdom of God.

Nurses have always been looked at as maids of doctors. Doctors would tell or recommend their children to become doctors but not nurses because they think that nurses are not as professional as they are or because they see them as not fulfilling the same purpose thus are inferior to them. Doctors if you don't remember usually have a God-complex and anyone that works together with them but do not do the same job as them are then considered as subordinates rather than colleagues. Its always been like that since the time of Nightingale.

In my country, doctors suggest children to take up nursing... because nurses here are paid quite big than doctors...
the only thing maybe that doctor's advise them not to go on nursing because... in reality nurses are just assistants of the doctors.... so these doctors' probably suggest their children to aim higher... like be one of them, be independent and become a leader...

They prefer have them highly qualified Doctors rather than nurses. Some Doctors prefer one of their children to be highly qualified Engineers/IT professionals.

JAWANS AND CLERKS CAN BECOME OFFICERS IN THE COURSE OF TIME. BUT NURSES REMAIN IN THE NURSING LINE ONLY EVEN AFTER PUTTING IN SEVERAL YEARS OF SERVICE,THEY CANNOT BECOME DOCTORS. MY ANSWER EXPLAINS ONLY PART OF THE ISSUE. THERE MAY BE OTHER REASONS ALSO.

Your example aren't correct. generals son can't start as a general unless from North Korea. doctors like everyone else want their spawn as high up the food chain as possible not lower. And I know they in their god-like positions don't want theirs to be mingling with the mortals as equals.

It is because doctors only can 'look deep inside a patient's wallet' while the nurses just look deep inside their throat.
