...we really place no expectations on ourselves, do we? If we can blend in and become part of the crowd, we can hate as much as the next person. I do it all the time, here - I can really "get hatin'" on someone who I deem stupid or whatever, I really don't think anything about ripping them a new one.

We all pledge allegiance to what we believe in or what we don't believe in, and it's all fun and games as long as we curry favor with all the people we want to agree with us. None of this discussion really has to lead anywhere - it's just about polishing the apples of those we esteem, and the hell with everyone else, right? We can say that we respect each other, as long as we don't actually have to show it...

i have a so called friend who i used to get on well with a girlfriend of my boyfriend's friend. but all it seems is take take take from her side. earlier this year i thought i was pregnant and believe i suffered early miscarriage. since then me and my partner decided we wanted a family. my so called friend has just got pregnant which i am happy about but im sure you can appreaciate the hurt i feel. I tried to tell her i didnt want to see her while she was pregnant and smoking which i thought was fair, i do not feel able to watch her harm her baby which she blames the smoking on the fact her other child causes her that stress. she just told me i was selfish. do you think i am or do you think its her that is.

I accepted a lateral internal postion because of overwhelming responsibilities in my present postion. However, my employer asked me to write down my concerns and to meet again the next day to discuss how they can possibly retain me. I was told that this is not a good idea, that I should beware and move on to the next postion. However, I am very comfortable where I am, but the job load is stressful and overwhelming to me and there is never any downtime. What are your opinions?

When you call a business and get "press 1 for English, 2 for spanish"...what about all the other languages? Isn't that considered discrimination? Shouldn't they list a whole range of languages options? Or is it something else?

You all have great answers, I don't know how to respond to them on here. My sister-in-law thinks I should go to the ceremony to show my support for the wedding, but skip the reception. I already rsvp'd to it and it is this friday. My husband's aunt called to verify it and I agreed because I thought I could handle it. I don't think I can anymore after hearing that I was the one to blame for the last party. I would like to go to the reception to show that I am not the problem, but I honestly do not think that I can sit and enjoy myself with the expectation of something happening. But i also do not want her to think she got the best of me.

No it does not and here is why. In Leviticus (where everyone referances to the subject matter) it says that any man who has sex with another man like a man has sex with a woman is wrong (of course they say it in a more lengthy and old-timey way). However, a man does not have a vagina, so therefore a man cannot have sex with another man the way a man would have sex with a woman. Any other quotes from the Bible explaining how homosexuality is wrong? Because that was just shoved in the trash! (i'm feelin a little fiesty today so don't get too mad if I insult your religion muwahaha)

i have friends but not best friends. I want a BF by my birthday so that he can spoil me. I have a wedding to go to, not a formal one, but casual dress. I bought a really cute brown dress yesterday that's about mid calf length. I don't do dresses often, I'm more of a shirt and pants kinda gal. Even when I dress up. So I'm not sure if I should buy some boots for the dress or maybe a cute pump. Any suggestions? The dress has a v-cut neck line, a very small sleeve and kinda flows a little bit.

Yes, every bank I go to they tell me that I cannot cash my check with out opening an account and waiting 5 day for the money ...that is not what I want! I want to cash my check now can this be done....I'm young ..I never cash a check before I do everything electronically...but I'm sure this can be done I think?? Is cashing a check like a myth or something.??..the other problem I have is the bank which the check is issued is in another state ?? Where or how can I cash this check...it's not a personal check it is from a corporation.... How can I cash my paycheck now?
